Lisa Saltzman is a photographer born and raised in New York. Her parents are collectors and passionate art patrons, and she has been strongly influenced by their collection and their love of art. Earlier in her career, she ran an advertising/promotional merchandise company where she designed and created much of the work she produced. Clients include: The Guggenheim Museum, Estee Lauder, MAC Cosmetics, Rimmel, and HBO. She has extensively studied contemporary art at Christies, and she studied at the International Center of Photography. Influences include Impressionist painting, abstract art and figuratures. Her “Woman in Thought” photo was selected to exhibit at the Darkroom Gallery, her “Pencil Man” photo was selected to exhibit at The Center for Fine Art Photography. She received an Honorable Mention in the International Photography Awards (IPA) Professional Division Advertising Fashion (series) and in The Spider Awards she was awarded both 3rd Place Honor of Distinction and an Honorable Mention for two photographs in her City Anonymity Series. Her Portrait was awarded Bronze in the professional division of the NYC International Competition. She was awarded Honorable Mentions from Prix de la Photographie PX3, Professional Division for both her black and white and color City Anonymity series. A photograph from her City Anonymity series was awarded an Honorable Mention in the Professional Division of the Monochrome Awards. She also received an honorable mention for her photo Movement 1 from the ND Awards. She was a selected photographer for APA/NY “Proof Sheet.” An article about her work and her photographs appeared in the Fall 2016 edition. A photograph from her City Anonymity series was selected for the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) Photo Annual 2017. She is a hand -picked photographer for AtEdge 2017.  She was selected as a Portfolio Reviewer at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) Graduate Review.  She is a member of Board Of Directors of American Photographic Artists (APA) New York Chapter and she exhibited at Gallery LemoArt Berlin in February 2017. She also exhibited at The Brick Lane Gallery London in April 2017 and at Artexpo New York Pier 94 in April 2017. Her photographs can be seen in many important corporate collections including The Cleveland Clinics permanent collection and she has sold her work to numerous high profile collectors.
